Galvanic isolation products are available from many manufacturers and should be installed correctly and checked periodically. All vessels with shore power connection should have this equipment.
 

Cathodic Protection

Cathodic protection is a maintenance issue; replacing zinc anodes periodically thus protecting the associated equipment. A quality engineered bonding system with adequate anodes will assure protection.

Impressed Current Cathodic Protection systems are available from many manufactures and may be installed on most vessels.
